Media Guidelines
1. General Principles
- ISSF events are sporting competitions.
- The goals are athlete performances, training, and achievements.
2. Accreditation & Access
- All media representatives should apply for ISSF media accreditation before covering events, through the links in the Media Accreditation menu.
- Accredited media will have access to designated media zones, mixed zones, and press conferences.
- Unauthorized filming or photography in restricted areas (e.g., warm-up areas, athlete lounges) is prohibited.
3. Interviews & Athlete Interaction
- Media should request interviews in advance through the ISSF Media Unit.
- Interviews should remain focused on the sport, training and achievements.
- Athletes have the right to refuse interviews at any time.
- Post-event interviews should be conducted in designated mixed zones.
4. Content & Broadcast Guidelines
- Photography & Video:
- Emphasize the sport, precision, and discipline of shooting.
- Ensure that footage is being collected from the designated areas.
- Live Streaming & Broadcasting:
- Unauthorized live streaming or rebroadcasting of ISSF events is prohibited.
5. Ethical & Responsible Reporting
- Verify information with official ISSF sources before publication.
- Respect diversity and inclusion when reporting on athletes from different backgrounds.
- Respect the privacy of athletes and officials
6. Social Media & Online Coverage
- When posting about ISSF events, use official hashtags and event branding.
- Follow platform-specific copyright and licensing rules when sharing ISSF content.
