Inside ISSF

The ISSF recognizes the importance of continental confederations for the promotion and organization of shooting events and supports the formation of such confederations. The national shooting federations of a continent, which are ISSF members, may form a continental shooting confederation or federation. The recognition of a continental confederation and the approval of its statutes are executed by the administrative council of the ISSF.

The objective of a continental confederation is to promote and develop the shooting sport on its continent according to the rules and the constitution of the ISSF. A confederation is responsible for the promotion of training courses and competitions on its continent and for the organization of continental championships on a regular basis. All continental confederations submit reports on their activities to each meeting of the administrative council and general assembly of the ISSF.
