ISSF President is attending the opening ceremony on Tuesday, 20 October, as a guest, taking the opportunity to meet members of the shooting sport community and engage with athletes and officials participating in the championship.
His presence reflects the ISSF’s connection with the wider international shooting sport community, including competitions organised within the military sport system. The championship brings together military personnel from CISM member nations for several days of competition in Trap and Skeet.

The championship is being held at the Italian Air Force Military Airport of Cameri, near Novara, at a venue with a long history in the development of shooting sport. The invitation documents highlight the range’s origins in 1933 and its place in the history of Italian military aviation.
This year’s event also coincides with the centenary of the Italian Shooting Federation (FITAV), which is supporting the organisation of the championship alongside the Italian military authorities and the International Military Sports Council (CISM).
The programme includes individual Trap and Skeet competitions on 21 and 22 October, followed by the mixed-team events on 23 October. The championship will conclude with the award and closing ceremony on Friday, 23 October, before delegations depart the following day.

Throughout his visit, Rossi is engaging with athletes and officials, strengthening the links between the ISSF and the wider shooting sport community.
With participants representing their armed forces and nations, the championship provides an opportunity to celebrate sporting performance while bringing together people who share a commitment to shooting sport.
The event’s motto, “Friendship through Sport”, reflects this spirit of international exchange, with the championship combining competition, camaraderie and the shared traditions of military sport.
