ISSF World Championship Doha 2026: When Olympic quota places will be on the line

The ISSF World Championship Rifle / Pistol / Shotgun in Doha, Qatar, will mark the beginning of the qualification pathway for the LA28 Olympic Games, with Olympic quota places available across 12 individual events.

To help athletes, teams and fans follow the qualification process, here is the schedule showing when the Quota Places will be allocated during the Championships.

3 November – Rifle
The first Quota Places of the Doha Championships will be allocated in the 10m Air Rifle Men and 10m Air Rifle Women events.
- 10m Air Rifle Men – 3 Quota Places
- 10m Air Rifle Women – 3 Quota Places

4 November – Pistol
The qualification action continues with the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Men competition.
- 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Men – 3 Quota Places

5 November – Pistol
Two Olympic events will award Quota Places on 5 November:
- 10m Air Pistol Men – 3 Quota Places
- 10m Air Pistol Women – 3 Quota Places

6 November – Shotgun
The first Shotgun Quota Places of the Championships will be allocated in Skeet:
- Skeet Men – 3 Quota Places
- Skeet Women – 3 Quota Places
9 November – Rifle
Following the competition break, the Quota Places return to Rifle with the women's 50m event:
- 50m Rifle 3 Positions Women – 3 Quota Places

10 November – Pistol
The women's 25m Pistol competition will award three Quota Places:
- 25m Pistol Women – 3 Quota Places

11 November – Rifle
The final Rifle event to award Olympic Quota Places in Doha will be the men's 50m Rifle 3 Positions:
- 50m Rifle 3 Positions Men – 3 Quota Places

12 November – Shotgun
The final Quota Places of the Doha Championships will be allocated in Trap:
- Trap Men – 3 Quota Places
- Trap Women – 3 Quota Places

The Road to LA28 begins in Doha
Across the 12 individual Olympic events, 36 Olympic Quota Places will be available at the ISSF World Championship Rifle / Pistol / Shotgun in Doha.

With the first places allocated on 3 November and the final ones on 12 November, every competition day featuring an Olympic event will carry added significance as athletes begin their journey towards LA28.
