Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026: Lee Gunhyeok wins 25m Rapid Fire Pistol gold as Republic of Korea takes team title

Lee Gunhyeok of the Republic of Korea won the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Men individual title at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games, after a shoot-off against China’s Su Lianbofan. The Republic of Korea also claimed gold in the team competition.

Lee takes individual gold after shoot-off

Lee and Su both finished the final on 32 hits, with Lee prevailing 5-4 in the shoot-off to take the gold medal. Both scores were marked as an Asian Record.

Pakistan’s Ghulam Mustafa Bashir completed the podium with 22, while Vietnam’s Pham Quang Huy finished fourth on 20.

Indonesia’s Dewa Putu Yadi Suteja placed fifth with 18, followed by the Republic of Korea’s Yoon Seoyeong on 12. India’s Anish finished seventh with 11, while Kazakhstan’s Nikita Chiryukin recorded seven.
Republic of Korea wins team gold

The Republic of Korea added the team title with a score of 1749-64x. The People’s Republic of China took silver with 1740-53x, while Indonesia won bronze with 1720-36x.

Kazakhstan finished fourth with 1711-40x, followed by Vietnam (1707-41x) and Japan (1706-37x). Pakistan did not start, while Mongolia was disqualified.

The results give the Republic of Korea a successful day in 25m Rapid Fire Pistol, with Lee Gunhyeok’s individual victory followed by team gold.
