ISSF President Luciano Rossi attended the welcome reception for the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026, joining representatives from across the Olympic and Asian sporting movement as the Games prepare to begin.

The reception brought together senior figures from the Olympic movement, including International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Kirsty Coventry and Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) President H.E. Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani. The event also featured remarks from Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games Organising Committee (AINAGOC) Secretary General Mr Satoshi Murate.

President Rossi was accompanied at the reception by members of the ISSF Executive Committee Mr Duaij Al Otaibi (President of the Kuwait Shooting Federation and Secretary General of the Asian Shooting Federation) and Mr Kiichiro Matsumaru (Honorary President of the Japan Rifle Shooting Sport Federation and Vice President of the Asian Shooting Federation), as well as Asian Shooting Confederation (ASC) President H.E. Sheikh Salman Al-Sabah.
The gathering provided an opportunity for leaders from across the sporting community to come together ahead of the opening of the Asian Games, which will bring athletes from 45 National Olympic Committees together in Aichi and Nagoya.

Aichi-Nagoya 2026 will take place from 19 September to 4 October, with shooting sport among the competitions forming part of the Games programme.
