The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) has confirmed that Cairo, Egypt, will host the 2026 ISSF 300m Rifle World Championship from 15 to 20 October, immediately following the ISSF World Cup Rifle / Pistol Cairo 2026.

Building on the successful return of the event in 2025, the competition will once again be organised at the Egyptian International Olympic City Shooting Range, one of the premier shooting venues in the world.

The competition programme will follow the same structure as the 2025 ISSF 300m Rifle World Championship. An official Pre-Event Training (PET) day is scheduled for 16 October, allowing athletes to familiarise themselves with the range and finalise preparations before competition begins.

The following three days will feature the full programme of 300m events, including individual and team competitions for men and women. The championship will conclude on 20 October.

The decision to once again stage the 300m World Championship in Cairo reflects the continued commitment of both the ISSF and the Egyptian Shooting Federation to preserving and developing the 300m events, which remain an important part of the federation's sporting heritage.

By hosting the World Cup and World Championship consecutively, athletes, teams and officials will benefit from an efficient competition schedule while enjoying world-class facilities and organisational standards.

Further information regarding the competition programme, entry procedures and event schedule will be published through the ISSF website and official communications channels in due course.
