The World Cup will include all Olympic rifle and pistol events, with athletes competing for medals and important international ranking points during a key stage of the 2026 season.

Munich has long been recognised for its strong organisation, passionate local support and rich shooting sport tradition. The venue, originally built for the 1972 Summer Olympics, remains one of the most respected shooting ranges in the world and regularly hosts some of the highest-level competitions on the ISSF calendar.

The event is expected to feature many of the sport’s biggest names, including Olympic medallists and reigning world champions from Europe, Asia, the Americas, Africa and Oceania, creating a highly competitive field across all disciplines.

Alongside the World Cup, Munich will also host the ISSF World Tour Target Sprint 2026, further highlighting the ISSF’s commitment to developing and promoting different disciplines within the shooting sport family.

As part of the competition programme, the official ISSF Media Session will take place tomorrow, 26 May at 11:00 local time, at the Finals Hall of the Olympiaschießanlage. The session will bring together ISSF President Luciano Rossi, representatives of the German Shooting Federation, including Vice President for Sport of the German Shooting Federation, Volker Kächele, as well as athletes including Hungarian rifle athlete Istvan Peni and German rifle athlete Max Ulbrich.

The Media Session will provide journalists and media representatives with the opportunity to engage directly with athletes and key figures ahead of the finals phase of the competition.

Fans around the world will be able to follow all finals live through the official ISSF digital platforms and YouTube channel throughout the competition week.
