The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) continues to strengthen the global development of shooting sport through the ISSF Development Fund, a programme designed to support Member Federations in building sustainable structures, improving facilities, and expanding participation worldwide.
With a total budget of €2,000,000, the ISSF Development Fund provides targeted financial assistance to Member Federations to support development projects that contribute to the long-term growth of the sport. Out of 159 ISSF Member Federations, 96 submitted applications during the current cycle, with 54 federations successfully awarded grants following the evaluation process.

Supporting development worldwide
The ISSF Development Fund is overseen by a Board of Trustees composed of Hazem Hosny Ahmed, Catherine Fettell, Melis Giraud, Francisco Boza and Duaij Al Otaibi. The Board meets twice annually to review applications under the Summer and Winter programmes, ensuring that funding decisions are made in line with ISSF development priorities and principles of transparency and accountability.
The programme supports a wide range of development initiatives, including improvements to shooting facilities, acquisition of equipment, and projects aimed at increasing participation and strengthening national structures. Each Member Federation may apply for grants of up to €20,000.
Applications are assessed based on clear eligibility criteria, including demonstrated activity within shooting sport, organisation of national competitions, existing or developing shooting facilities, and the submission of comprehensive project and financial information.
Applications are first reviewed by the ISSF Office for completeness before being submitted to the Board of Trustees for final consideration.

Clear and structured process
Following approval, Member Federations receive guidance on the next steps required to access the funding. Federations are responsible for ordering approved equipment through their chosen suppliers and submitting proof of payment to the ISSF Office. Once verified, reimbursement is processed by ISSF Accounting in accordance with the approved grant amount.
This structured process ensures transparency while allowing Member Federations flexibility in implementing projects suited to their national needs.
