The President of the ISSF, Luciano Rossi, has attended the Opening Ceremony of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Shotgun in the United Arab Emirates, continuing warm relations between the Gulf countries and the ISSF.
President Rossi and ISSF Vice President John Hansen were invited by the organisers, which included United Arab Emirates Shooting Federation President H.E. Sohail Aineyadi.
During his speech at the Opening Ceremony, the President highlighted the relationship that has built with the host nation, and wished all athletes the best of luck during the competition.
In the competition, the United States' Christian Elliott won a shoot-off with Egypt's Azmy Mehelba to claim men's skeet gold, while Finland's Marjut Heinonen took the women's skeet title.
