ISSF World Cup Final begins with Opening Ceremony

The 2025 ISSF World Cup Final is underway following the Opening Ceremony ahead of three days of action in Doha, Qatar.

It sees 129 athletes compete in the season finale, across 12 events: men's and women's 10m air rifle, 50m rifle 3 positions, 10m air pistol, skeet, trap, men's 25m rapid fire pistol and 25m women's pistol.

ISSF President Luciano Rossi showed his gratitude to all in attendance: "I want to thank all the countries, all of Asia, all the continents, all of you who are working hard and I really appreciate it.

"We cannot forget that first is the athletes. Our goal and our mission is to compromise and improvise with them.

"We have the chance to see the elections of the ISSF Athlete of the Year, another good idea from ISSF staff, the Vice-President, Members of the Board who are here for this great World Cup Final.

"This is the reason that our International Federation, all of us together, what we promised, we are doing.

"We are on the next Olympic Games, that was not sure in the past, now I'm sure. We are working for Brisbane 2032.Our International Federation, we are working with a vision. This is what we are doing together."

Dr. Mishaal Ibrahim Al-Nasr, President of the Qatar Shooting & Archery Association, added his thanks to the ISSF President Luciano Rossi in his speech, warmly welcoming all athletes and attendees to Qatar for three days of exciting finals.

All 12 ISSF World Championship gold medallists are set to compete from 6 to 8 December.
