World Mental Health Day falls on October 10 every year, marking a period to reflect on our wellbeing and to support those around us.
As part of these efforts, the International Shooting Sport Federation reminds its community that resources are available on our website under its Inside ISSF section.
We also have links to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Mental Health in Elite Athletes Toolkit and the IOC Mental Health Action Plan under the resources section.
Mental health topics include, but are not limited to: managing pressure, feeling burnt out/overwhelmed, harmony between sport and home life, managing life and/or career changes, handling stress, improving communication, dealing with injury, managing anxiety, depression, disordered eating, bullying, harassment and abuse; and parenting.
The ISSF remains committed to supporting all those affected by mental health in our sport and maintaining high safeguarding standards.
