The Organising Committee for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games has released the competition schedule, with three years to go until the Opening Ceremony.
For shooting sport, it features 11 days of action, including a traditional medal event on the first day of competition on the 15th of July 2028. Shooting had the honour of being the first medal event at the past two Olympic Games and will be one of the first awarded at LA28 too.
The first three days of medal events will take place across rifle and pistol disciplines at the Long Beach Target Shooting Hall, before the first shotgun gold medal will be awarded at the Whittier Narrows Clay Shooting Center on Day 4, the 18th of July.
Shooting sport's last gold medal will be won on Day 11 of the Games on the 25th of July, given to rifle and pistol events.
