The International Sport Shooting Federation (ISSF) is analysing a number of options to introduce and test new technologies which will help judges in the shotgun events.

At present, ISSF Rules do not permit the use of video technology to assist judges, but with rapid advances in technology, options are being studied by a task force led by the Secretary General, the Technical, Shotgun and Judges Committees, in consultation with the Athletes Committee. Since the interest of our athletes will always come first, we are sensitive to all requests for the judging process to be reviewed and will treat this as a priority.

Tests of potential technical aids for judges will take place starting on September. If the trials are successful, any proposed rule change will be discussed by the ISSF Executive Committee before approval at future ISSF World Cup and ISSF World Championship events.
